Kate Bonney designs lighting for a wide variety of live performance and events. Her heart lies in creating work that audiences never forget, alongside telling stories that deserve to be told. Recent credits include Old Boy with Dundee Rep, Cyprus Avenue with the Tron and Mimi Store with Jupiter+ on Perth High Street. Kate also forms half of design company Lightworks Events Ltd, alongside Simon Hayes. Together, they led the design of Enchanted Forest from 2013 until 2019, designed My Light Shines On with Edinburgh International Festival in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic, and last year found themselves designing lighting for a vertical launch space vehicle (a rocket) for a large scale photoshoot with Orbex, an aerospace company based in Kate’s home town of Forres, Moray.
